Donate your preloved textbooks to new students
 
Textbook Rescue donations will be accepted at either library locations during library hours, throughout the year as follows:

Selection of donated materials

The Library will be pleased to accept your donations if the items are in good condition.

  • • Textbooks
  • • Reference books

The Library generally will not accept conditions/ formats which includes but not limited to the following

  • • Audio visual materials
  • • Damaged
  • • Magazines of any kind
  • • Material in obsolete or inaccessibble formats
  • • Materials downloaded from the Internet
  • • Materials which are in poor physical condition
  • • Most periodicals
  • • Photocopied materials
  • • Pirated print publications
  • • Underlined/ highlighted pages

The Library reserves the right to refuse donations that do not meet the above criteria.

FIRST-YEAR NEW STUDENT

These books have been kindly donated by fellow students and staff. New students are welcome to claim on first come first served basis.

Collection Flow by First-Year New Student:

  1. 1. Titles list can be viewed from the Library’s website.
  2. 2. The Library will attend to walk-in students only.
  3. 3. Upon receiving request of books, the Library staff will check the student status to verify requestor is a new student 
        (New student definition: 1st year of the programme taken, regardless of level of programme)
  4. 4. Recipients name, ID, date and titles are to be recorded to the master List.
  5. 5. List is to be updated to the Library website daily on working day.

Policies:

  1. 1. First come first served basis.
  2. 2. No reservations via email or phone, walk-in only.
